The end of an era

(Mid Life Crisis)

rain 14 °C

As the time in Brisbane draws to an end i am defiantly saddened at all of the friends that i will leave behind. I have so much history in this city that it will be both sad and liberating to leave it. Onto what, in the end i am not sure, but in the mean time to the US (to start with).

With work slowing down for me i am left feeling guilty that i am making preparations (and writing this) from my Mentis Green (#74C365) cubical. Researching what will be my stomping ground for the next 3+ months is a little daunting but also very exciting when you stumble across hidden gems like Mad Mark's Castle on Albany Bulb, just outside of San Francisco or an article about where you can buy an Australian style coffee around the US (Starbucks i swear only under the more dire of circumstance will i ever visit you). The absence of amazing coffee might be the final nail in the coffin of my sanity.

Everything seems to be falling beautifully into place, and slowly i am building connections around the US and Canada and even have a travel buddy for some of my time in Cuba (stoked that you are joining me Kate). Mexico is still a little bit of a back box for me as i still have a lot of time after Cuba and the idea of making a quick trip to the Netherlands to see a friend looking less and less likely. It does however give me time to potentially explore more if central america. Either way the time will be put to good use.

Best get back to it.
